A year-long journey during which the camera observes how life develops in various parts of the country, in towns and villages on both sides of the Dniester River. The main character of the film is Moldova—picturesque and unique, happy and sad—like some other post-Soviet states, it is a country of contrasts. Often called a land of fertility and magic, it is even more often misunderstood, and for some people it does not even exist.
