Nothing Remains Nothing Disappears

"On a Berlin street corner a small supermarket transforms into a tenement block – between the aisles and on the scaffolding something slowly changes."

Documentary
A Berlin street corner is slowly changing: an aging supermarket turns into a construction site and finally into a new building. People restock shelves, demolish and rebuild walls, take breaks and count money. They exchange words, gestures and glances with each other, the camera and the space that surrounds them. Everyone working here participates in the making and unmaking of the place on the corner. How do they interact with their workplace? How does it shape the conditions of their labor? How does one place cease to be and another come into being?
